The objectives of NBA is regular evaluation of institutions or programs providing technical training on the basis of norms, standards and guidelines of Accreditation.

  • To develop the quality systems relevant to participation by all the stakeholders.
  • To providing quality benchmarks at the national level in every technical institution.
  • To provide the quality assurance and education for all the technical institution.
  • To conduct evaluation of self-assessment programs offered by the technical institutions.
  • To contribute the domain knowledge in quality parameters, assessment and evaluation.

Accreditation is a process of quality assurance and improvement, whereby a programme in an approved Institution is critically appraised to verify that the Institution or the programme continues to meet and/or exceed the Norms and Standards prescribed by regulator from time to time. It is a kind of recognition which indicates that a programme or Institution fulfills certain standards.

  • In case visit of the Expert Team to an Institute is conducted during 1st July – 31st December, the Period of accreditation would commence from the on-going academic year(i.e. 1st July of that year).
  • In case visit is conducted between 1st January to 30th June, the accreditation period would be from the next academic year(i.e. 1st July of the next academic year).
  • The Institutes can apply maximum for 5 programmes for various levels of the same discipline. However, MBA and MCA Programmes may be included along with Engineering Programmes in an application.
  • Registration Fee:
    • Registration fee amount is Rs. 1,00,000/- + applicable taxes
  • Accreditation Fee:
    • Processing Fees to be paid by the Institutions for NBA Accreditation of Programmes except Engineering Diploma Programmes:
      • Each Program @ Rs. 2,00,00/-+ applicable taxes
    • Processing Fees to be paid by the Institutions for NBA Accreditation of Engineering Diploma Programmes
      • One Program @ Rs. 2,00,00/-+ applicable taxes
      • More than one Program @ Rs. 1,50,00/-+ applicable taxes
